If you haven’t heard Jamie Ellis speak about bees you are in for a real Treat.  For those that have, you know what we mean when we say, “You won’t want to miss his presentation!”

Dr. Jamie Ellis is a Gahan Endowed Associate Professor at the University of Florida, Florida’s apiary Extension specialist and leads the Honey Bee Research and Extension Lab. His broad research interests include pollination ecology of honey bees and native bees, varroa mite control, honey bee pathology/parasitology, honey bee nutrition, honey bee chemical ecology, sublethal effects of chemicals on bees, and general honey bee behavior/ecology.  He is founding member of the Bee Colleges, Florida Master Beekeeper Program and the AFBEE program.
